beachandsunglassespicfor5tipsforsummerpost1.  Do a DIY project!
I just did a makeover on a nursery glider.  Well, my mom and I did.  Okay, I don’t sew…my mom made the slip covers.  But it was my idea.  I needed a glider and didn’t want to spend a fortune.  So I found one in good working condition at a yard sale, painted it white, and my mom and I recovered the cushions.  We used a shower curtain! I saw that idea on Pinterest.  So clever.
Here’s a picture of the result. (I have to attach the cushions tomorrow at church).  The chair is actually for our church’s nursery.  There will be 4 newborn babies over the next 4-6 months so we needed more gliders. 🙂  The brown chair is the before.  I should have taken more pictures of the process, but for some reason I didn’t!IMG_9395
2.  Apply for two jobs.  Get hired for two jobs. Then end up not accepting two jobs…epic. fail.
3.  Move to a different house during the hottest part of summer.
4.  Swim in your parents’ pool.
5.  Plant and tend to a garden! By far my favorite.  Now if my tomatoes would hurry up! I want to make salsa and pico de gallo and bruschetta…mmmmmm….
And well, there you have it.  A productive summer in a nutshell.
How is your summer going so far? I hope it’s great and as exciting as mine! 😉

      Hi Lisa!
That is awesome! Yes, in my undergrad studies I was an English Major and Speech and Hearing Sciences Minor then in graduate school I took extra classes to catch up and my graduate program took longer (3 years) but it all went so well and I had a great program and professors. I will pray for you and don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you ever need anything!
      God bless you!
      Love,
      Heather
