This April, thousands across the globe are wearing blue and even “lighting” up their world with blue to show their support and to increase awareness about autism. Autism affects 1 in 110 children and 1 in 70 boys.

This video is so inspiring. It is the introduction video from the lightitupblue.org website. In it, you will get to see many national and international monuments lit up blue for this day. It is great to see the world coming together in support of children and families affected by autism.
Today I am thinking of all my amazing students, past and present, and their incredible families who are affected by autism. Let’s spread the word and do all we can as professionals, friends, and family members of those who deal with the reality of autism on a daily basis.
